WebinarPLUS – Attendance and Absence Codes – AUGUST 2024 UPDATE

June 28 @ 9:30 am 4:00 pm

Outline

Ensuring delegates are clear about the statutory expectations of Absence and Attendance Codes following the release of the updated Statutory Guidance: Working Together to Improve School Attendance.

Description

This whole day training event is delivered in two bitesize parts and will cover the following:

Part One – Legal do’s and don’ts of Attendance and Absence Codes

This part focuses on ensuring delegates have a clear understanding of the legislation and statutory guidance linked to Attendance and Absence Codes.  Delegates will understand the statutory definition of each attendance and absence code and their role in ensuring attendance registers are marked accurately and legally.

Part Two – Applying Attendance and Absence Codes in Practice

This part focuses on ensuring delegates can apply the codes in everyday scenarios, as well as working through more complex situations where they will need to apply their problem-solving skills as well as their newly acquired knowledge.  We will also provide delegates the opportunity to explore their own personal “wicked problems”, unpicking them in order to provide them with resolutions to take away and try.

Our WebinarPLUS sessions are aimed at providing delegates with an interactive experience, giving opportunities for discussion together with a variety of different exercises and tasks, together with the traditional webinar experience.
